Efficiency, comfort and safety are the peculiarities that distinguish the COBO projects, awarded the "Technical Innovation" and "Signaling" awards at EIMA International 2022.

VLN (Vision Lane Navigation)

System based on computer vision which enables autonomous driving in the lanes of a vineyard.

What is innovative: images are processed by an Artificial Intelligence system, which continues to learn each time the system is used. The system is based on the Digital Twin technique so tractor, tool, farm and cultivation are initially digitized, then each usage becomes a physical test to improve its performances.

Foreseen advantages: the system does not require GPS signal and related RTK corrections to have the necessary accuracy, or the addition of lidar sensors, radar, ultrasonic to allow navigation within the narrow lanes of vineyards.

The operator can rely on the VLN self-guidance assistance for an automatic and safe driving within the vineyards and orchards rows, being able to choose whether he need to constantly proceed in the center of the row or on one of the two sides of it, accordingly with the size of the crop and the tractor + implement clearance needs.

COBO VLN with a simple and functional architecture, can be installed to any type of tractor, grape harvester or self-propelled vehicle designed to operate in crop farms with a semi-structured layout, aiming to transfer more self-intelligence and automation to vehicle already in service or on the market. Making existing operating machines more accurate and effective, efficient in fuel consumption and safe in the work areas, brings immediate advantages to the table.

ADAPTIVE COMFORT SEAT

What is innovative: application of the magnetorheological air suspension to operator's seat.

Foreseen advantages: it reduces the vibrations of the vehicle in working conditions by up to 40% compared to a traditional air suspension.

The operator well-being is the key factor: maximum attention to ergonomics and comfort has been used.

The new active suspension (MR-Dumper) thanks to the features, dampens the vibrations of approximately 40% compared a traditional pneumatic suspension, spike condition especially.
Thanks to the solution used (MR-Dumprer) we can immediately intervene on the suspension performance by using a COBO control unit with proprietary algorithm.
Mastering the algorithm allows us to obtain the best operation and performance from the suspension, based on each individual application / situation.

KEYLESS SYSTEM

Electronic device for the recognition of a user of the machine.

What is innovative: the device allows the machine to detect the user when he approaches, to unlock and to adjust many settings such as seat position, switches and fingertips setup, HMI configuration.

Foreseen advantages: security against thefts, safety avoiding misuse, user comfort setup.

COBO Keyless System is an electronic device who improves recognition of a user of the machine, simply approaching the machine or touching the door handle and pressing the start button.
Could be integrated into COBO complete system solution with benefits of: security against thefts, safety avoiding misuse, user comfort setup.
